WHAT TYPE OF INVESTOR ARE YOU? Superhero 🦸🏿‍♂️ Edition

Knowing yourself means to know your strengths and weaknesses. Know what drives you and what drives you up the wall.

Financially speaking, the behaviours you endeavour are not the type you are. You might WANT to be a huge risk taker: Make Fast Money type; but with BIG risks, comes a LOT OF Consequences. Will you cry if the marketa crash? What if the investment you thought would make 10% only made 1%. What if You expected only gains, but got only losses?

The first thing about understanding ourselves, is to understand the characteristics of the investments you choose:

There are four main investment types, or asset classes, that you can choose from, each with distinct characteristics, risks and benefits.

• Growth investments. RISKY
• Shares. UNLREDICTABLE
• Property. EXPENSIVE
• Defensive investments. BALANCED
• Cash. NO INCREASED VALUE
• Fixed interest. LOW RISK

I’ll do an article on that another time, but for now, you can do your research.
